Sensor analytics is everything that happens downstream of the sensor and turns a 4…20 mA signal into a reading in SAP, an alarm on a phone, or a dashboard in the control room.
Signal conditioners scale analog signals to PLC-compatible levels and provide limit switching, counting, and on-site display. They are the classic retrofit layer between old field devices and a new controller.
IO-Link masters collect digital sensor data and forward it over PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT to the PLC. They are standard today in new lines, retrofit projects, and condition-monitoring solutions.
Displays and HMIs bring readings and alarms to the cabinet, the machine, or the control room. Simple 7-segment panels cover a single value, touch industrial PCs with SCADA surfaces map entire plants.
IIoT gateways bundle and preprocess data from multiple sensors and forward it over OPC UA, MQTT, or REST to cloud and edge platforms. Typical for multi-site monitoring, energy management, and predictive maintenance.
